pretty petals

Fresh flowers are by far my favourite way to decorate a cake.

I'm not really into the sleek looking fondant icing, partially because I'm no good at it, but mostly because it doesn't make me want to eat it!

Using fresh flowers will look beautiful every time, I promise. Try a whole bunch of flowers or just a sprinkling of petals.

Here's a tip. If you have excess rose petals you can store them in the fridge for a later date. Line a plastic container with a paper towel to draw out any moisture in the petals and store them in the fridge (don't freeze them!). They will keep for up to a week or more if you're lucky.
